Advent is the four-week season leading to Christmas. We remember the longing for Christ’s birth and look forward to his coming again.
At Desert Mission Anglican Church, these weeks give us a shared rhythm of worship and preparation. Here are a few of the things we look forward to each year. We’d love to share them with you.

Greening of the chapel
We prepare our worship space for the season with greenery. It’s a chance to work alongside one another and share the anticipation of Christmas.
The Advent wreath
Each Sunday leading to Christmas, our special Advent wreath liturgy marks another step in the season. As we light the candles and pray together, we turn our attention to the light of Christ.
Advent Choir, open to all
All are welcome to join our Advent Choir. Making music together is part of how we prepare, culminating in our family-friendly Christmas Eve Communion service.
