At DMAC serving one another and our neighborhood is part of our common life. Of course, this can look different from person to person and in different stages of life. While everyone is encouraged to help out where they can, there’s never any pressure to commit beyond what is healthy for you and your family.
Here’s a list of some areas you can get started in as a volunteer:
Help with repairs, cleaning, improvements, etc.
Bring bread to senior citizens in need
Host an ongoing group for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship
Provide a warm welcome to our members and visitors, and help facilitate events such as potluck meals, receptions, etc
Assists clergy with various ceremonies and celebrations of the church
Prepare the Communion table and altar area before and after worship
Children and Youth Leaders
Prepare and teach Sunday School or facilitate a social gathering
Read the lessons appointed for the day during worship
Help lead our congregation in musical worship through singing or playing a musical instrument
Sound and Tech
Help project the liturgy and song lyrics and run sound during worship
If you’re ready to get plugged in one of these areas, or even in way we haven’t thought of yet, make sure to get in touch so we can work together to find the right place for you!
