About Us

On Sunday, May 3, 2005, after much prayer and discussion, Desert Mission Anglican Church was born. Pastor John Dyson had been an associate pastor at The Valley Cathedral for the previous 10 years, with the last 8 months of his tenure spent as Interim Senior Pastor. After having been ordained into the deaconate in Little Rock, Arkansas, by Bishops John Rodgers and Thaddeus Barnum at Anglican Mission in America’s winter conference in January, 2001, and into the priesthood by Bishop Sandy Greene in Phoenix, August, 2003, John felt the Lord call him to continue in a direction that blended the three streams of worship; liturgical, evangelical, and charismatic.
